TAMIL METHODIST CHURCH 

When coming up with the design concept for this project, it was said that the world's oldest Christian church was discovered underground in Rihab, Jordan. With that, the team was inspired by the Bible verse,

"The Lord is my rock, my fortress and my deliverer; my God is my rock,

in whom I take refuge,  my shield and the horn of my salvation, my stronghold."

(Psalms 18:2, NIV)

Experienced builders know that a structure cannot endure unless its foundation is strong. The word 'rock', referring to the prime elements in ancient foundations, are used in the Scriptures as metaphors signifying strength, steadiness, and durability. The prophets used these metaphors in a variety of ways to convey an impression of the unwavering character of God as well as the need for spiritual solidarity in the foundation and structure of our own lives.

With that, we started observing the aesthetics of a rock and its natural phenomenal. The main design lead was inspired by the naturally embedded metals in rock resulting in the overall outlook of this project. 

As this project was already ongoing, my main task was to carry out minor design adjustments in order to obtain the Planning Permission and subsequently to get the Building Plans approved.
