Located at the Shah Alam Botanical Garden, the HIDEOUT is designed as a Weekend Getaway that is, as ‘a place where one escapes for relaxation, recreation and vacation for a short period of time.’ This Weekend Getaway functions as a habitable architectural space for living, dining, showering, cooking, storage and such within a built-up space of 150 meter square.

The design takes advantage of the beauty of nature by creating a space which allows users to embrace the lush jungle by allowing natural sunlight and the trees in the surrounding to grow into the Weekend Getaway, making a connection between the natural environment and built environment.

 

The Weekend Getaway also surprises the senses of users as there is a large contrast between the front and the back, making it look separated from the public. Users can relax themselves in the surrounding views without getting distracted by the public.
